Alpiq posts solid results
The Alpiq Group posted solid results for the 2009 financial year, despite an extremely difficult environment in Europe. Consolidated revenue fell by 7.4% to CHF 14.82 billion, while EBITDA amounted to CHF 1.54 billion (5.0% down year on year), with EBIT coming in at CHF 1.06 billion (-7.2%) and Group profit at CHF 676 million (-7.7%). These results have strengthened Alpiq's position as a leading provider of energy services in Switzerland.

Corrigendum
Unfortunately, there is a mistake on page 19 of Alpiq's Annual Report 2009. It says that Energy Holding was acquired by Alpiq in July 2009 and successfully integrated into Alpiq. Correct is that EHOL Distribution was acquired by Alpiq in 2009 and successfully integrated into Alpiq, while Energy Holding is an independent company and a partner of Alpiq.
